Metso Secures Twin Orders to Power India’s Iron Ore Ambitions

Metso Corporation has announced two major equipment orders in India’s iron ore sector, reinforcing its position as a trusted partner in sustainable mineral processing. Metso has received an order from Jindal Steel for six Larox FFP3512 filters to be installed at its pellet plant in Angul, Odisha. These fully automatic fast-opening filter presses are part of the Metso Plus portfolio and are designed to deliver high-volume dewatering with reduced moisture content and enhanced filter availability.

 

In a separate but related development, Metso has been awarded a multi-stage grinding equipment order for a greenfield iron ore processing facility in Odisha. The delivery includes several ball mills and Vertimill grinding mills with a combined installed power exceeding 35MW, along with MD slurry pumps and MHC hydrocyclones.

 

Both orders include engineering, manufacturing, installation advisory services, and spare parts, underscoring Metso’s end-to-end project execution capabilities.
