Parliament Gears Up for a Packed Session
The Monsoon Session of Parliament is set to begin on July 21 and run through August 21, 2025, with 21 sittings scheduled. The government is expected to introduce and pass a series of highimpact bills across finance, education, environment, and sports governance.
 
Key highlights from the legislative agenda:

  • Income Tax Bill, 2025 aims to simplify the 1961 Act and introduce the concept of a “tax year”
  • Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2025 proposes updates to streamline compliance
