In the third match of IPL 2025, Mumbai Indians managed to put up 155/9 in their 20 overs against Chennai Super Kings at a packed stadium. Batting first, Mumbai had a rough start as skipper Rohit Sharma fell for a duck in the very first over to Khaleel Ahmed. The top order struggled, with Ryan Rickelton (13) and Will Jacks (11) failing to capitalize on their starts.
Suryakumar Yadav led the resistance with a fighting 29 off 26 balls, while young Tilak Varma added 31 off 24 before Noor Ahmad struck twice to derail the innings. However, a late flourish from Deepak Chahar (28 off 15) helped Mumbai reach a competitive total.
For CSK, Khaleel Ahmed (3/29) and Noor Ahmad (4/18) were the standout bowlers, supported well by Nathan Ellis and Ravichandran Ashwin. With a target of 156, CSK will look to start their chase confidently, while Mumbai will bank on their bowlers to defend the total.
