Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic musical, Phantom of the Opera, has finally opened in India at Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, marking a significant milestone in India's theatre history. The show, which ran from March 5 to 30, 2025, hypnotized people with its blood-curdling music and grandiose set design. This show is part of a world tour that has already captivated over 160 million people in 195 cities in 21 languages.
The NMACC, which is a top arts destination, hosted the musical, which deals with love, obsession, and tragedy in the Paris Opera House. The performance was graced by top guests, including Lady Madeleine Lloyd Webber, who presented Nita Ambani with an original Phantom mask of the 1980s.
