The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has initiated the 'Recycle Mela' at Connaught Place, prior to World Environment Day 2025 on June 5. The campaign, with the theme "From Awareness to Action," seeks to promote environmentally friendly waste management and join the international movement to prevent plastic pollution.

Action Kit for Collection: The Recycle Mela Action Kit was launched, giving detailed instructions for hosting local collection drives for plastic, paper, and e-waste.
Infrastructure Upgrades: NDMC deployed battery-pushed litter carts and wet mopping trollies to augment cleanliness in Connaught Place markets.
Community Engagement: A Swachh Bharat Harit Sapath (Green Pledge) was taken by citizens, sanitation staff, and officials, reiterating the pledge to a cleaner New Delhi.
