NDMC Launches 'Recycle Mela' to Promote Sustainable Waste Practices in Connaught Place

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has initiated the 'Recycle Mela' at Connaught Place, prior to World Environment Day 2025 on June 5. The campaign, with the theme "From Awareness to Action," seeks to promote environmentally friendly waste management and join the international movement to prevent plastic pollution.

The Recycle Mela is a replicable civic initiative and public outreach model that is a step in the direction of urban sustainability and environmental responsibility. By combining solutions in waste management with public participation, NDMC hopes to provide other cities with an example to be replicated.
