Procter & Gamble India has announced a strategic leadership transition in its technology division, with Nikunj Jain, the current Head of IT, stepping down effective June 30, 2025, to take on a new global assignment within the P&G group. Stepping into his shoes is Jai Pankaj, a seasoned P&G veteran, who will assume the role of Head of IT for India starting September 1, 2025.
Key Highlights:
Leadership Shift:
Nikunj Jain exits after a transformative stint, having led P&G India’s digital acceleration, including AI-driven tools like chatPG and Industry 4.0 manufacturing upgrades.
Incoming Leader:
Jai Pankaj returns from Indonesia, where he served as CIO for P&G Indonesia and led e-commerce tech strategy across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
Tech Credentials:
An alumnus of NIT Karnataka and IIM Lucknow, Pankaj brings over 15 years of experience in Martech, data science, and digital transformation across 15+ markets.
Strategic Timing:
The transition comes as P&G doubles down on consumer-centric innovation, AI integration, and smart supply chains in India’s fast-evolving FMCG landscape.
Regulatory Filing:
The leadership change was formally disclosed to the NSE and BSE, in line with SEBI’s corporate governance norms.
With this move, P&G India signals a continued commitment to tech-led growth, while grooming global talent to lead its next wave of digital disruption.
