NIBE Lands Defence Tech Deal—Modular Bridging System Set for Production

NIBE Ltd. has signed a Technology Transfer Agreement with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to manufacture Modular Bridging Systems, marking a significant step in India's defence infrastructure development. The agreement grants NIBE exclusive rights to produce these advanced bridging solutions for the Indian Armed Forces and government agencies.

Key Highlights:

Strategic Defence Expansion: The Modular Bridging System, ranging from 14 to 46 meters, is designed for rapid deployment, enabling military vehicles to cross obstacles efficiently.
Technology Transfer Terms: NIBE will pay ₹3.76 crore in tranches for the 10year licensing agreement, ensuring access to DRDO’s technical expertise and testing methodologies.
Indigenous Defence Push: The initiative aligns with India’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ policies, reinforcing domestic defence manufacturing capabilities.
