Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugrated two supply centers of CK Birla company GMMCO India in Maharashtra's Nagpur district. The Butibori and Hingna centers are an investment of Rs 60 crore to increase machine and component rebuild centers. Gadkari again underlined the need to develop India's infrastructure to international standards, and identified water, power, transport, and communication as priority areas. He also referred to the necessity of a jobs economy and advocated the use of alternative and biofuels. The 10-acre Butibori center has a warehouse dealing with more than 30,000 items worth Rs 210 crore. The 4-acre Hingna center will be capable of rebuilding 750 engines and 400 transmissions every year. The centers are designed to reduce service response times and enhance availability of parts in India.
