NTPC Green Energy and Goa Ink Pact for 300+ MW Renewable Push

NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) to develop over 300 MW of renewable energy projects across the state, marking a major step in Goa’s clean energy roadmap.
 
Key highlights:
 
- The MoU outlines collaboration on solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects, with a focus on grid-connected capacity and storage integration.

- NGEL will lead project development, while GEDA facilitates land acquisition, regulatory clearances, and local coordination.

- The initiative aligns with Goa’s target to source 50% of its power from renewables by 2030.

- NTPC aims to reach 60 GW of renewable capacity by 2032, with NGEL spearheading its green portfolio.
