Oil India Begins Gas Production from Bakhritibba DSF Block in Rajasthan

Oil India Limited has officially commenced gas production from the Bakhritibba Discovered Small Field (DSF) block in Rajasthan, marking a significant milestone in the company’s upstream operations. The development is expected to enhance domestic gas supply and contribute to India’s energy security.  

Production Capacity and Gas Composition  
- Oil India will produce approximately 100,000 standard cubic meters per day (SCM/day) of natural gas from the Bakhritibba DSF block  
- The gas composition includes 59.21 percent methane, 38.33 percent nitrogen, and 2.12 percent carbon dioxide  
- The gross calorific value of the gas stands at 5,438 kcal/SCM, ensuring high energy efficiency
