On the Right Track! Assam CM Dedicates Railway & River Bridges to the People

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma opened the newly constructed Kampur Railway Overbridge and the renovated Kapili River Bridge on March 30, 2025. The Kampur Railway Overbridge, built at a cost of ₹63 crore, is a substitute for a previous level crossing gate, enhancing safety and convenience for travelers in Nagaon district. The renovated Kapili River Bridge, 160 meters long, was also reused to improve connectivity in the region.

These infrastructure plans aim to enhance local connectivity and economic development. The Chief Minister's plan reflects the state's focus on upgrading its transport infrastructure to enable growth and public well-being.
