People First, Strategy Always—Harsh Trehan to Shape GSK India’s Workforce Future

In a strategic leadership move, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) India has appointed Harsh V. Trehan as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Executive Vice President – Human Resources, effective July 1, 2025. Trehan will now lead the HR function for GSK’s pharmaceutical business in India, overseeing a workforce of nearly 4,000 employees.
 
About Harsh V. Trehan
  • Prior to this elevation, Trehan served as People Services Lead at GSK’s Global Capability Centre in Bengaluru for over four years.
  • He brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience across industries including FMCG, petroleum, aerospace, and services.
  • His previous roles include Chief People Officer at Compass Group India and Director HR at BAE Systems India.
  • Trehan began his career at Bharat Petroleum and holds a Master’s in Personnel Management from SIBM Pune.
