Perfios Accelerates Health Insurtech Expansion with IHX Acquisition

B2B SaaS fintech pioneer Perfios has forged its fifth strategic buy with the acquisition of Bengaluru headquartered IHX, a healthcare information exchange platform, in a major foray into managing health insurance claims. The third acquisition for Perfios within three months, this transaction takes the company's technology stack into the healthcare space to change claims processing through real-time data intelligence and AI-powered analytics.

 

IHX now handles more than 40% of India's cashless health insurance claims, processing over 10 million transactions every year, worth approximately $1 billion. The platform interconnects 30,000 hospitals at 1,200 locations with more than 30 insurers, with top brands such as Reliance Hospital and Jaslok Hospital.

 

Perfios aims to connect its AI models with IHX's network to significantly lower claim processing times-from hours to less than ten minutes, at times as little as four minutes-to provide near real-time updates to hospitals, insurers, and patients. This action is in line with Perfios' vision to become the operating system for the BFSI industry, increasing transparency, operational efficiency, and patient experience in healthcare claims.

 

The deal consolidates Perfios' leadership in the expanding insurtech and healthtech sectors, with a promise of frictionless access to healthcare even in rural India.
