GAIL (India) Ltd has announced a revision in the completion timeline for its Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda natural gas pipeline project, extending the schedule from the earlier target of September 30, 2025 to a new progressive deadline of December 31, 2025. The update was shared via regulatory filings on September 24, reflecting adjustments in execution pace due to logistical and environmental factors.
The pipeline, spanning over 1,500 kilometers, is a critical component of GAIL’s national gas grid expansion and aims to connect key industrial clusters across Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. The revised schedule is expected to ensure phased commissioning while maintaining safety and quality benchmarks.
