Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and dedicate a series of transformative projects worth over ₹4,800 crore during his two-day visit to Tamil Nadu on July 26–27. The initiatives span aviation, highways, ports, railways, and clean energy, aimed at boosting regional connectivity and economic growth.

Tuticorin Airport’s new terminal building, built at ₹450 crore, will handle 20 lakh passengers annually and is designed for future expansion

North Cargo Berth–III at V.O. Chidambaranar Port (₹285 crore) adds 6.96 MMTPA dry bulk capacity

Foundation stone for ₹550 crore Inter-State Transmission System to evacuate power from Kudankulam Nuclear Plant Units 3 & 4

 

On July 27, PM Modi will release a commemorative coin honoring Emperor Rajendra Chola I at Gangaikonda Cholapuram Temple during the Aadi Thiruvathirai Festival
