Prashant Kishor, the political strategist who’s helped shape some of India’s biggest election wins, is now on a mission of his own in Bihar. Speaking recently in Jhanjharpur, Kishor challenged people to think about the last three decades of leadership under Lalu Yadav, Prime Minister Modi, and Nitish Kumar. He asked a simple question: Has anything really changed for the better?

Kishor says he’s not just another politician asking for votes. For more than two years, he’s been traveling across Bihar, visiting thousands of villages and talking directly with people about their problems. His new movement, Jan Suraaj, is about putting real power in the hands of ordinary citizens, not just swapping one set of leaders for another.

He didn’t hold back on criticism, saying that leaders have focused more on their own families and political survival than on improving life for regular people. He also pointed out how caste politics and empty slogans have distracted everyone from real issues like jobs, education, and development.

Jan Suraaj plans to field candidates in all 243 assembly seats in the next election. Kishor says he wants people to vote for candidates they actually trust, even if that means not voting for his party. His message is clear: Bihar’s young people shouldn’t have to leave home to find work. If things are going to change, it’s up to the people to make it happen.
