South Central Railway (SCR) is launching a pilot of a digital Rail Parcel app in Hyderabad Division, integrating door-to-door parcel booking, tracking, and delivery. This unified platform aims to streamline logistics by connecting first-mile pickup, rail transport, and last-mile delivery for seamless nationwide parcel movement.
South Central Railway (SCR) is set to pilot a game-changing door-to-door parcel service app in its Hyderabad Division, aiming to revolutionize parcel logistics. The upcoming Rail Parcel app will allow users—including individuals, businesses, and logistics partners—to book, track, and manage consignments on a single platform.
The app will integrate the entire parcel journey: first-mile pickup, mid-journey rail transport, and last-mile delivery, enabling real-time tracking and end-to-end visibility. SCR has invited agencies and logistics providers to collaborate for pickup and delivery services, fostering a complete ecosystem around the railway’s parcel transport network.
SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava described the initiative as potentially transformative, enhancing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer convenience. Interested logistics partners are encouraged to register with the Hyderabad Division’s Commercial Wing.
This digital integration supports SCR’s broader goal to modernize freight logistics and capitalize on India's growing demand for reliable, transparent courier services, promising enhanced service levels for urban and rural customers alike.
