Sourav Ganguly, former captain of the Indian cricket team, confirmed that the Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao would be acting as him in an upcoming biopic. The confirmation was made at an event in Bardhaman, West Bengal, where Sourav stated, "I have heard that Rajkummar Rao will play my part." Although, he pointed out the possibility of scheduling conflicts, stating that the film might just come out after some more than a year. The biopic produced under Luv Films by Luv Ranjan would be one chronicling the life of this cricketer where Ganguly appeared in 113 Test matches, 311 ODIs, and the Indian team led by him laid hands on 21 Test wins. Fans are now eagerly waiting to see the cinematic tribute to the "Prince of Kolkata."
