On December 27, 2025, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission in Dharampur, Gujarat, marking a significant moment of shared values and spiritual unity. His presence underscored the Mission’s commitment to service, empowerment, and holistic growth, while also celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Key Highlights

Warm Welcome: Shri Rajnath Singh was received with reverence at the Mission, where he paid homage at the Shri Mahavir Prasad Jin Mandir and participated in a tree plantation ceremony, symbolising sustainability and growth.

Centre of Excellence for Women: The Defence Minister inaugurated the Shrimad Rajchandra Sarvamangal Centre of Excellence for Women, a first-of-its-kind initiative spread across 11 acres. The centre aims to empower over 15,000 women annually through skill development, livelihood training, digital literacy, healthcare, and leadership opportunities.

Empowerment Message: In his address, Singh emphasised that women, when given equal opportunities, perform as well as or better than men. He lauded the Mission’s efforts in uplifting rural and tribal women, aligning with India’s vision of inclusive growth.

Legacy of Shrimad Rajchandraji: Singh reflected on the teachings of Shrimad Rajchandraji, the 19th-century Jain saint, poet, and philosopher, whose spiritual legacy continues to inspire service and harmony. He praised Gurudev Shri Rakeshji, the Mission’s founder, for advancing these values globally.

National Significance: The Defence Minister recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually laid the foundation stone of the centre in 2022, calling it his “great fortune” to inaugurate it in person.
