Reboot and Jet: SpiceJet’s Engine Revival Sparks Skyward Momentum

SpiceJet Ltd. has successfully resumed operations of yet another Boeing 737 NG aircraft, this being a key milestone en route to its fleet restoration programme. The aircraft, VT-SGV, has been re-inducted to active service under the scheduled airline recovery programme in order to add strength to operational capacity and network reliability2.
 
Concurrently with this development, SpiceJet took delivery of its first two overhauled engines from US-based MRO services company StandardAero Inc. under a strategic agreement to return its grounded Boeing 737 MAX fleet to service5. The carrier also announced that it is expecting a steady flow of engines over the next few months, which will enable the return to service of additional aircraft as well as reduce downtime8.
