Reliance Consumer Products Ltd. (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries, has officially launched its iconic beverage brand Campa in Nepal through a strategic partnership with Chaudhary Group. This marks RCPL’s formal entry into the Nepalese market and signals its intent to scale Campa’s international presence.

Key highlights:

- RCPL acquired Campa in 2022 and reintroduced it in India in 2023, reviving a brand that once dominated the Indian soft drink market.

- The Nepal launch includes a diverse product lineup: Campa Cola, Campa Lemon, Campa Orange, Campa Energy Gold Boost, and Campa Energy Berry Kick.

- Products are competitively priced at NPR 30 for 250ml soft drink bottles and NPR 40 for energy variants.

Strategic partnership:

- Chaudhary Group, Nepal’s largest conglomerate with over 202 companies and 261 brands, will manage local manufacturing and distribution.

- The collaboration leverages CG’s robust supply chain and retail network to ensure widespread availability across Nepal.

- RCPL emphasized Campa’s multi-generational appeal and affordability as key drivers for market success.

Market context:

- Campa already has a presence in GCC countries and is now expanding into South Asia.

- The launch aligns with RCPL’s broader FMCG strategy, which includes acquisitions like Lotus Chocolates and Sosyo Hajoori Beverages, and partnerships with brands such as Maliban and Elephant House.

This move not only revives a nostalgic Indian brand but also strengthens Reliance’s regional FMCG ambitions through strategic cross-border collaboration.
