Massive Infrastructure Drive for Uttarkashi

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid foundation stones and inaugurated 35 development works worth an estimated ₹210 crore in Purola, Uttarkashi.

The initiatives are focused on improving connectivity, tourism, healthcare, and sport infrastructure, which will affect thousands of citizens.

Some of the key projects are Purola sports ground upgradation, Karna Maharaj Temple beautification at Deora village, and Naugaon Community Health Centre development.

Tourism & Road Connectivity Enhancements

CM announced the construction of a bypass road from Purola-Naugaon to Mori Band via Dukana to facilitate connectivity in the region.

The Devjani Ora to Kedarkantha area has been notified as a tourist destination officially, adding to Uttarakhand's adventure tourism pull.

Such programs are also expected to generate employment and boost the local economy.

Government Engagement in Development

CM Dhami underlined that the state government is giving importance to early completion of all the projects announced.

He reaffirmed Uttarakhand's zero-tolerance policy for corruption and ensuring transparency in infrastructure development.

The CM stressed the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, and thus Uttarakhand became India's first state to adopt this legal code.

Local leaders & Public Reception

Purola MLA Durgeshwar Lal expressed gratitude for the approval of the hospital building construction at Ranwai and the Mori Jakhol motor road scheme.

Citizens welcomed the projects as milestones in the transformation of Uttarkashi.

The CM made sure that education, health, and development of road infrastructure will continue to be a priority area for the state government.
