If you were in Bengaluru this weekend, you might have noticed a crowd of energetic people gathering at Balakrishna Rangamandira in Rajarajeshwari Nagar. That was RunAddicts hosting their 7th Annual Run, and by all accounts, it was a huge success.
Big Turnout, Big Energy
-
Over 3,500 people came out to run or walk, including families, fitness buffs, and teams from local companies.
-
The RunAddicts community is strong, with thousands of people connected through WhatsApp and Facebook, and everyone seemed to be in high spirits.
More Than Just a Run
-
There were options for everyone—10K, 5K, and 3K routes, all untimed, so people could go at their own pace.
-
The event kicked off with a fun Zumba session, and along the route, local musicians and spectators cheered everyone on.
-
At the finish line, participants got a medal, an e-certificate, and a good breakfast to recharge.
A Green Event, Every Year
-
For the seventh year in a row, RunAddicts made sure the event was zero-waste.
-
Everyone was encouraged to avoid disposable items, use reusable utensils, and take their trash home, leaving the venue spotless.
Supporting a Great Cause
-
This year’s theme was “Educate a Rural Child,” and the money raised will help provide education, health, and sports resources for kids in rural areas.
-
RunAddicts has already donated over 225,000 notebooks, desks, bags, sports equipment, and scholarships to students in need.
A Real Community Effort
-
Hundreds of volunteers made sure everything ran smoothly, with medical support and ambulances on standby just in case.
-
The whole event was a reminder of how much can be achieved when people come together for a good cause.
Bottom Line
RunAddicts’ 7th Annual Run was a perfect mix of fitness, fun, and philanthropy. It’s inspiring to see so many people working together to make a difference.
