Sandhar Technologies Ltd has signed off on purchasing Sundaram-Clayton's high-pressure and low-pressure aluminum die-casting operations in its Hosur plant for ₹1.63 billion. Sandhar Ascast Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary, would carry out the acquisition under a slump sale deal. This expansion is planned with the intent of strengthening Sandhar's portfolio of die-castings and advancing its automotive production capabilities. The agreement also involves synergies in operations by shifting other units to Sandhar Ascast. Through this acquisition, Sandhar Technologies is poised to consolidate its presence in the automotive components market that has stiff competition.
