Indian Institute of Technology Indore has launched AgriHub, a first-of-its-kind Center of Excellence with the vision of transforming Indian agriculture using artificial intelligence and machine learning. The initiative was launched on January 27, 2025, in partnership with the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, with an aim to resolve major issues like drought, floods, and low productivity. The project will promote innovation, startup incubation, and industry collaboration to create innovative solutions for agribusinesses and farmers. Having a five-year strategy for the creation of a self-sustaining ecosystem, AgriHub wants to propel technology development in precision farming, big data analytics, and AI-based agricultural practices. This project puts IIT Indore at the center of India's agritech revolution.
