Shakti Pumps Wins ₹170 Crore Solar Irrigation Order Under PM-KUSUM Scheme

In a major boost to India’s renewable energy and agricultural infrastructure, Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced the receipt of a substantial work order from Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The contract, valued at ₹170.25 crore (inclusive of GST), involves the deployment of 4,840 Stand-alone Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) across the state of Madhya Pradesh. This initiative is part of Component-B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme, which aims to promote solar-powered irrigation solutions for farmers.
