Sharda Motor Industries Ltd (SMIL), a leading Tier-1 automotive component manufacturer, has entered into a Technology Licence Agreement (TLA) with Donghee Industries Co. Ltd., a South Korean automotive technology firm. The collaboration aims to bring advanced suspension systems to the Indian market, catering to the growing demand from SUVs, electric vehicles (EVs), and premium luxury segments.
Under the agreement, Donghee will provide design drawings, process know-how, and validation protocols, enabling Sharda Motor to locally manufacture high-performance suspension components such as control arms, torsion beams, and sub-frames. This move is expected to reduce import dependency and enhance supply chain efficiency for Indian OEMs.
