SpiceJet has inducted five additional aircraft on damp lease, including the reactivation of a Boeing 737 MAX, aiming to more than double its operational fleet and triple available seat kilometres by the end of November 2025. This expansion includes Boeing 737s and an Airbus A340, marking a significant boost in capacity ahead of the peak travel season.
SpiceJet is aggressively expanding its fleet this winter by inducting five new aircraft on damp lease, which includes the ungrounding and reactivation of the fuel-efficient Boeing 737 MAX. Alongside three Boeing 737s and a wide-body Airbus A340 inducted earlier, the airline is positioning itself for rapid growth in both domestic and international markets.
By the end of November 2025, SpiceJet plans to more than double its operational fleet and triple its available seat kilometres (ASKM), enabling the airline to operate around 250 daily flights compared to 125 during the summer schedule. This expansion aligns with the increasing travel demand during the festive and holiday season.
The additional aircraft and fleet activation will enhance connectivity, route frequency, and passenger convenience, particularly targeting metro cities, pilgrimage destinations, and international leisure routes like Phuket.
