SpiceJet is making a remarkable turnaround, rapidly expanding its fleet and market presence. The low-cost carrier added 10 aircraft in the December quarter, boosting its operational fleet by 55% to 28 planes. With plans to unground 10 more aircraft by April 2025, SpiceJet aims to have over 100 aircraft by 2026. The airline's recent Rs 3,000 crore fundraise has enabled it to launch 60 new flights and increase its market share from 2% to 3.2%. SpiceJet is also eyeing widebody aircraft for long-haul flights, signaling ambitious growth plans. This resurgence has translated into improved financials, with the company reporting a profit of Rs 26 crore in Q3 FY25.
