Google has started rolling out a new Manage Subscriptions feature for Gmail that will make it easier to manage inboxes by presenting all email subscriptions in a simple single view. The feature is rolling out over the course of Android, iOS, and web, and should complete its rollout by the end of July of 2025.
Key Highlights
Now you can view a list of all current email subscriptions, listed by sender frequency
Each entry indicates the number of emails received in recent times, which helps users identify high-volume senders
One-click unsubscribe functionality allows users to unsubscribe straight away, with the request being made by Gmail on their behalf
For senders who don't support one-click unsubscribe, Gmail has a Block Instead option
User Experience
The feature can be accessed via the Gmail navigation drawer, located under the Trash folder
Members can look at all of an email sender's mail before unsubscribing
The interface is simple and user-friendly, with no technical knowledge necessary to use them
Performance Boost
Gmail's machine learning filters out over 99.9 percent of spam and phishing.
The new instrument expands on these initiatives by concentrating on clutter from legitimate but non-essential sources
Decreased inbox size speeds up email loading times and boosts visibility of critical messages
Outlook Manage Subscriptions is a bridge to the future of Gmail as smarter, user-centric email management. It enables users to reclaim control of their inboxes, simplifying everyday communication and minimizing stress.
