Tech Titans Unite: INDRA & AXISCADES Spark Defence Revolution on Indian Soil!

In a bid to provide a significant impetus to India's defence production industry, technology giant INDRA has formed a strategic alliance with AXISCADES Technologies Ltd. with a view to accelerating production of advanced defence systems in India. The alliance is occurring at a pivotal moment for India's home-grown development of military technology as the nation wants to increase indigenous capability and reduce reliance on imports.

 

The partnership takes advantage of AXISCADES' established engineering and technology solutions expertise in the aerospace and defence industries. AXISCADES recently hit the headlines with a ₹100 crore order to provide Man Portable Counter Drone Systems (MPCDS) to the Indian Army—a first for indigenous defence innovation. The MPCDS, designed and developed completely in India, weighs a mere 5 kg, is extremely portable, and can detect and jam drones ranging across a broad spectrum within a 5-kilometre radius, across multiple frequency spectrums. The company is also deepening its digital capabilities, including next-generation Industry 4.0 technologies like automation, IoT, additive manufacturing, simulation, and augmented reality, into its defence solutions.

 

With the new partnership, INDRA and AXISCADES will work together to ramp up the production of these advanced systems to meet the growing requirements of Indian defence forces and other foreign markets.
