Tata Technologies Ltd has entered into a strategic partnership with Emerson to jointly develop next-generation test solutions for next-generation mobility platforms. The collaboration will accelerate automotive innovation with advanced validation solutions, AI-driven diagnostics, and software-defined vehicle (SDV) solutions.
Key points of the cooperation:
The collaboration will be centered on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, model-based systems engineering, and predictive diagnostics for electric and autonomous cars.
Tata Technologies will integrate its embedded engineering and digital transformation strengths with Emerson's test and measurement technologies (formerly NI).
The partnership will reduce product development timelines and enhance reliability in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial machinery markets.
Mobility Innovation Centre launch:
A new Mobility Innovation Centre has been established in Bengaluru, which serves as a collaborative R&D and client engagement hub.
The center will enable OEMs to virtually and physically test and verify vehicle performance before manufacturing, in line with the industry's trend of shift-left.
It will also invest in the development of vehicle platforms, battery packs, and autonomous driving modules.
Strategic influence and industry outlook:
The partnership makes India a global leader in auto testing and validation, leveraging its growing R&D ecosystem.
It is a reflection of a larger trend of infusing AI and data analysis into engineering procedures to address changing standards of safety and performance.
The program is said to address the needs of global OEMs, semiconductor firms, and Tier-1 suppliers seeking intelligent, scalable test platforms.
