Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has bagged a fresh domestic order worth ₹362.8 crore, reinforcing its stronghold in India’s rail infrastructure and rolling stock segment. The order, placed by a leading public sector entity, is part of the government’s ongoing push to modernize freight logistics and expand railway capacity.

Order Value & Scope:
  • The ₹362.8 crore contract includes the manufacture and supply of specialized freight wagons, to be delivered over the next 12–18 months.
  • The wagons are designed for bulk commodity transport, including coal, cement, and minerals.
Strategic Fit:
  • The order aligns with Texmaco’s core expertise in freight rolling stock, which contributes over 60% of its revenue.
  • It also supports the company’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat commitments through localized manufacturing.
Execution Pipeline:
  • The wagons will be produced at Texmaco’s Belgharia and Sodepur facilities in West Bengal, which have a combined capacity of over 10,000 wagons annually.
  • The company is also leveraging its inhouse design and R&D teams to meet evolving technical specifications.
Recent Momentum:
This order follows Texmaco’s recent $62 million international win from Cameroon’s Camalco SA, signaling strong traction in both domestic and export markets.

Market Outlook:
With Indian Railways targeting 3,000 MT freight movement by 2030, Texmaco is wellpositioned to ride the multiyear capex wave.

This latest win adds steam to Texmaco’s growth engine—keeping it firmly on track as a key enabler of India’s railled logistics transformation.
