Chadha argued that menstrual hygiene must be treated as a basic right tied to dignity and equality. He pointed out the irony that while alcohol and cigarettes are sold openly, sanitary pads are still wrapped in newspapers, reflecting deep-rooted stigma.

The MP noted that millions of girls miss school due to lack of sanitary pads, clean water, and privacy. He stressed that this is not an individual problem but a collective failure, urging the government to improve infrastructure and accessibility.

Chadha called for progressive policies that break the silence around menstruation. He emphasized that open dialogue and better facilities are essential to empower women and ensure no girl’s education is disrupted.
