The Path Forward: Sanjiv Goenka Offers Guidance to Rishabh Pant

Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka has once again hogged the limelight for his heated exchanges with team captains. After LSG's loss to Punjab Kings, Goenka was spotted arguing with Rishabh Pant, the newly appointed captain of the team, in a similar manner to his previous clashes with KL Rahul. Pant, who was signed for a record Rs 27 crore, has been criticized for his performance and captaincy calls. Having made a promising beginning, LSG has been hit with setbacks, raising questions over the team's strategy and involvement of Goenka in cricketing matters.

 

Goenka's altercations have raised questions over the morale of the team and the mix between ownership and on-field leadership. The matter has once again put the spotlight on Goenka's managerial acumen, which was criticized earlier for being too intrusive into team matters.
