The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has unveiled plans for Phase-V, featuring 18 new corridors spanning 206.5 km to enhance connectivity across Delhi-NCR. This ambitious expansion includes four entirely new routes: Mayapuri to Kashmiri Gate, CGO Complex to Surya Vihar (Faridabad), Mayur Vihar Phase-3 to Loni Border, and Najafgarh to Nangloi. The remaining 14 corridors will extend existing metro lines.
Phase-V will introduce 128 stations, with 115 km of elevated tracks and the rest underground. The longest corridor will connect Ballabgarh to Palwal, while the Mayur Vihar Phase-3 to Loni Border stretch will span 21 km. Key routes like the Central Vista Corridor and Aerocity-Airport Terminal 1 line are prioritized for early development.
Once operational, this expansion will reduce vehicular congestion and air pollution, significantly improving urban mobility in Delhi-NCR.
