In anticipation of increased passenger traffic during Diwali and Chhath Puja, the Railway Administration has announced the continued operation of three pairs of special trains through the Bhopal Division. These trains are designed to provide relief to travelers heading to key destinations in Bihar, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.
The decision comes as stations across the region witness a surge in bookings and footfall. The extended services will run until Chhath Puja, ensuring smoother travel for those returning home for the celebrations.
Routes and schedules
The three pairs of special trains include:
- Rani Kamlapati–Danapur–Rani Kamlapati (Train No. 01667/01668): Operates bi-weekly on Saturdays and Tuesdays
- Rewa–Dr. Ambedkar Nagar–Rewa (Train No. 01707/01708): Runs tri-weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
- Rewa–Hadapsar–Rewa (Train No. 01709/01710): Scheduled twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays
These trains will continue to operate with reserved seating and follow COVID-19 safety protocols. Passengers are advised to book tickets in advance and check timings via official railway platforms.
