1. Key Initiatives Across Railway Divisions

Eastern & South Eastern Railway launched the “Dhatri Sathi on Wheels” mobile awareness van, developed in collaboration with Garbage Free India (GFI), to educate passengers on sustainable living and responsible plastic usage.

IoT-based smart dustbins were introduced at railway stations, equipped with sensors that send alerts when full, improving plastic waste management.
