In a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, Scapia and Federal Bank have introduced an Add-On Credit Card that revolutionizes shared credit usage among families. Unlike conventional add-on cards, which offer limited autonomy to secondary users, this product enables add-on cardholders to have their own app interfaces, receive independent OTPs, and view personalized transaction summaries.
Primary cardholders can allocate portions of their credit limit to up to three add-on users aged 18 and above. For example, a ₹2 lakh credit line can be divided as ₹20,000 for a college-going child and ₹50,000 for a parent, all managed digitally. Both primary and add-on users earn Scapia Coins on spends and enjoy benefits like unlimited domestic lounge access and zero forex markups once spending thresholds are met.
The onboarding process is fully digital, providing instant virtual cards and physical cards within 5-7 days. This launch aligns with Scapia’s broader product expansion, including the Scapia Store and travel experiences, catering to India’s growing travel and lifestyle credit demand.
Key Highlights:
Add-on cardholders get independent app access, OTPs, and spending dashboards.
Primary users can allocate customizable credit limits per add-on user.
Earn and redeem Scapia Coins individually; rewards can be pooled for travel.
Unlimited domestic airport lounge access and zero forex fees with spending criteria.
Fully digital onboarding with instant virtual cards.
Part of Scapia’s comprehensive travel platform extending to shopping and experiences.
