Trident Ltd has announced a ₹20 billion (₹2000 crore) investment in Punjab, aimed at expanding its terry towel production, modernising paper manufacturing, and establishing a corporate office in Mohali. The initiative is expected to generate significant employment, particularly for rural women, and strengthen Punjab’s industrial ecosystem.
On November 20, 2025, Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora confirmed Trident Group’s major investment plan in Punjab. Of the total ₹2000 crore, ₹1500 crore will be directed towards Barnala for expanding terry towel production and upgrading paper manufacturing facilities. An additional ₹500 crore will be invested in Mohali to set up a corporate office and capacity-building centre. The project is expected to create employment opportunities for nearly 2000 semi-skilled rural women, reinforcing Trident’s commitment to inclusive growth.
