Uber Reserve Bookings Skyrocket 200% in India, Driven by Airport Travel & Festive Demand

Uber Reserve, the pre-scheduled ride option, has witnessed a massive 200% surge in bookings across India in 2024, reflecting a growing preference for planned travel. The feature, which allows riders to book trips up to 90 days in advance, has gained traction, particularly for airport drop-offs, business commutes, and festive travel.
 
Key Growth Drivers
  • Airport Travel Dominates – Nearly 40% of Reserve trips were for airport drop-offs, with one in four airport rides now booked via Reserve.
  • Festive & Holiday Demand – Usage spiked 15% ahead of major festivals like Diwali, Eid, and Christmas, and intercity Reserve bookings rose 40% during Diwali.
  • Business Travel Boom – Uber for Business Reserve trips surged 140% YoY, now accounting for 10% of total Reserve bookings.
  • City Leaders – Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad led in Reserve adoption, with early morning slots (4-6 AM for flights, 7-10 AM for office commutes) being the most popular.
With growing momentum, Uber Reserve is set to play a bigger role in India’s travel planning, offering certainty and convenience.
