Vakrangee Limited is aggressively positioning itself to consolidate its position in India's ATM market. Vakrangee has acquired Vortex Engineering, one of India's top ATM innovators, to effect backward integration for its ATM operations. The strategic acquisition places Vakrangee in control of 93.40% of Vortex, bolstering its technological competence and operational efficiency.
In a major breakthrough, Vakrangee has introduced mini ATMs with UPI-based cash withdrawal capability, with plans to roll them out across its large Vakrangee Kendra network. This new solution marries the convenience of UPI with conventional ATM services, which could transform cash access in rural India.
Though no FY2025-26 ATM deployment plans were specifically outlined in the information provided, Vakrangee does have aggressive growth plans. It wants to achieve 3 lakh+ outlets and 15,000+ ATMs by 2030 and emerge as India's largest ATM operator.
All these plans are in line with Vakrangee's focus on financial inclusion and its vision to cover 100% districts by March 2026.
