Vedanta Limited has been declared the preferred bidder for the Kauhari Diamond Block in Madhya Pradesh, following an e-auction conducted by the state's Department of Geology & Mining. The company secured the block with a highest Final Price Offer of 1.10%. The Kauhari Diamond Block, at G4 level of exploration, covers a total area of 643.4169 hectares. This acquisition aligns with Vedanta's strategy to expand its mineral portfolio. The grant of the Composite License is subject to necessary payments, approvals, and completion of tender document terms. This development follows Vedanta's recent success in securing nickel, chromium, and PGE blocks in Karnataka and Bihar.
