Vice-President C.P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the silver jubilee celebrations of the Om Shanti Retreat Centre (OSRC) in Gurugram, founded 25 years ago by Brahma Kumaris. He emphasised how ancient sages' meditative practices like Rajyoga and Vipassana foster inner strength, drawing professionals from diverse fields to the centre's peace message. In the Amrit Kaal, he aligned this heritage with PM Narendra Modi's Viksit Bharat@2047, urging meditation as a vital skill for balancing economic growth with mental peace.
The VP lauded Brahma Kumaris as the world's largest women-led spiritual group, advancing purity of mind globally. He commended OSRC's sustainability efforts, including a 1 MW solar plant, rainwater harvesting, and tree plantations under Kalp Taru, tying into Mission LiFE. Radhakrishnan also noted their role in Nasha Mukt Bharat and recent campaigns like Rajyoga Meditation for World Unity, inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu.
