Ayurvedic physicians from across India gathered in Visakhapatnam on February 6–7, 2026 for WAPCON 2026, the first National Women Ayurveda and Ayurpreneurship Conference. Organized by Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad and Andhra University, the event focused on women’s health, entrepreneurship, leadership, and bridging the gap between Ayurvedic education and sustainable practice.
The Women Ayurveda Parishad Conference (WAPCON 2026) brought together Ayurvedic physicians, researchers, and entrepreneurs from across the country at the AU Convention Centre, Visakhapatnam. Jointly organized by Vishwa Ayurveda Parishad and Andhra University’s Dr. Durgabhai Deshmukh Centre for Women Studies, the two-day event was part of Andhra University’s centenary celebrations.
Themed “Swastha Nari – Sashakta Bharat” (Healthy Woman – Strong India), the conference highlighted Ayurveda’s role in supporting women’s health and empowering female practitioners. Sessions covered clinical best practices, entrepreneurship, leadership, and policy advocacy, alongside discussions on innovation, startups, AI in Ayurveda, and cosmetology.
