The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's ETC (Divyang Education and Training) Centre ushered in the new academic year with a befitting School Enrollment Festival on 16th June. It was organized to bring excitement and a sense of belonging among students with disabilities who had been out on summer vacation.
Celebratory Environment and Involvement of Students
The students were greeted with warmth by administration and teachers, which created a friendly environment.
Dr. Anuradha Babar, Director of the ETC Centre, welcomed each child personally with a rose and distributed study material such as pencils and erasers.
More melodious and softer music enhanced the festive mood, making the first day back enjoyable.
Para-medical personnel and special teachers contributed immensely, putting students at ease and being in the care of others.
Leadership and Institutional Support
Municipal Commissioner Kailas Shinde and Additional Commissioner Sunil Pawar wished the students good luck for the new academic year.
Heads of Hearing Impaired and Intellectually Disabled Departments and Administrative Superintendent arranged the event with utmost care.
The event recalled NMMC's commitment to inclusive education and the provision of a caring learning environment.
