Welspun Enterprises has received a Letter of Acceptance from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for developing a 910 MLD water treatment plant at Panjrapur, Maharashtra, valued at about Rs 3,145 crore. The project strengthens Welspun’s water portfolio, lifting its consolidated order book to around Rs 16,330 crore, reinforcing its leadership in India’s water infrastructure segment.
Welspun Enterprises Ltd (WEL), part of Welspun World, announced the receipt of a Letter of Acceptance from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for a landmark Rs 3,145 crore project to develop a 910 MLD water treatment plant at Panjrapur, Maharashtra. The project will be delivered under a Design-Build-Operate model in partnership with Veolia Water Technologies, Malaysia.
The contract includes 15 years of operation and maintenance, with the construction phase scheduled for completion within 48 months, inclusive of the monsoon period. This award significantly strengthens Welspun’s water vertical and aligns with its ongoing efforts to provide sustainable water infrastructure solutions across India.
