Zomato has invested an additional ₹500 crore into its quick commerce subsidiary, Blinkit, bringing its total investment to ₹2,800 crore since acquiring the company in August 2022.
This infusion supports Blinkit's aggressive expansion strategy, aiming to operate 1,000 dark stores by March 2025 and 2,000 by December 2026.
Additionally, Blinkit has introduced new services, including Bistro, a 10-minute food delivery platform, and a 10-minute ambulance service in select areas.
These initiatives position Blinkit to compete with rivals like Swiggy Instamart and Zepto in India's burgeoning quick commerce market.
