Zomato Ltd. reported a consolidated net profit of ₹59 crore for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024-25 (Q3 FY25), marking a 57% decline from the ₹138 crore profit recorded in the same period last year.
The company's revenue from operations increased by 64.4% year-on-year to ₹5,405 crore, up from ₹3,288 crore in Q3 FY24.
The growth in revenue was primarily driven by a 21% year-on-year increase in the food delivery segment and a 110% surge in Blinkit's revenue due to rapid store expansions.
Despite the revenue growth, the decline in net profit is attributed to increased expenses in the quick commerce segment, leading to a contraction in consolidated EBITDA margins by 60 basis points quarter-on-quarter.
