In a boost to the industrial landscape of India, ArcelorMittal/Nippon Steel has announced an investment of ₹1.4 lakh crore to set up a 17.8-million-ton integrated steel plant in Andhra Pradesh, at Anakapalli. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu made the announcement at the World Economic Forum in Davos and presented it as one of the largest greenfield initiatives in recent times. This investment is going to boost the economic growth of the state and generate thousands of jobs, thus marking Andhra Pradesh's commitment to an investment-friendly environment.
